My cat who is 8 throws up two or three times a week. No hairballs, just food or bile. She is on a food that is for cats with sensative stomaches that I buy at the pet store. I have also tried some different foods in the past but to no avail. What could it be? Recomendations???

Looks like you have done everything you can do for her. Its time for the vet. He can recommend a food that might help Kitty tummy or can find out what is wrong with kitty.

I have to agree with everyone who has answered you so far... If you were sick and couldn't keep food down and kept throwing up, wouldn't you go to the doctor? Show your cat how much you really love it, and TAKE YOUR CAT TO THE VET..

Could she have worms? When's the last time you gave her worm pills? My father-in-law's older cat had the same problem, and it turned out to be worms.

... could be that she's stressed, eating too quickly, or has grown an intolerance to the food. Your best bet is to try a lamb-based food. It's hypo-allergenic. Note: Lamb sits heavier in the stomach than chicken or beef, you may notice your cat eats LESS on a lamb diet. Not to worry though! If you're really concerned though, take kitty to the vet for a once over!
