| animals are selective in food because of many years of evolution. their bodies have grown accustomed to one type of food and therefore can only digest one type of food. carnivores for example, can only eat meat, herbivores can only eat vegetation, and omnivores can eat pretty much anything. other than that, i would say inbred habit. such as with domestic animals, they can be just as picky as children |
