people treat their pets like some mutated child. cat people tend to be especially sensitive and tend to flip out on me when i say im not much for cats.
personally im allergic. so i dont care for them. ive never said i hate them or etc.
but from their reaction youd think i just called them a multitude of unmentioable names.
my guess would be displaced affection. so any minor slight on the cat becomes a personal assault on what they consider their identity

I have never known a man who was a tithe so loyal or affectionate or good-natured as the cat I had when I was in high school. I dare say that I have only known one guy as smart as that cat.

My advice to you and guys like you is to try and be better people so you fall less short of the standard of good behavior and niceness set by your girls' cats.
