My cat has been very sick. (She is 12 years old) She looks puffy on her sides, she doesn't eat or drink much, she barely cleans her coat anymore. The vet said he felt no tumors, said she has belly fat and gave her an antibiotic because he said she had an infection. It's almost 2 weeks later and she isn't getting better. I'm really getting scared for her.

I don't know how long she has been puffed out, because she had a heavy coat for the winter and it became noticeable after she started shedding. She is very lethargic and does almost nothing. She also walks funny and her legs seem unsteady.
She eats very little and drinks water a lot. I didn't know a cat could go downhill so fast.

One further thing, a bird got into our house a month ago. My cat killed the bird and had it in her mouth, but didn't eat it. Is it possible she caught something from the bird?
