I just started to notice this with my cat. His nose is really whitish very pale. He is warmer than usual And likes to lie near cool areas or on the floor. He has been eating grass a lot. He has been hiding a lot. He is also losing some weight. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm going to take him to the vet but would still like to get an idea about what it could be.

He might have some type of infection going on. They usually eat grass to cleanse their systems or when they aren't feeling well. Going to the vet is the best thing to do.

Do take your cat to the vet. Any change in behavior like this could mean something is wrong... I think all animals eat grass from time to time but the weight loss and warmness could mean an infection... The Vet can tell you really quick what is wrong. I know it is kinda expensive but it will be worth it to not let it persist. Good Luck!

Well it could be something as simple as a kitty cold. Eating grass usually will make them throw up. But only a vet can tell you exactly what is wrong.

Rapid weight loss can be a concern for an animal. Please see your vet for an examination. He/She will ask you (among other questions) about the cats activity and attitude, whether you've seen any vomitting or diarrhea, how much your cat has been eating and drinking, whether your cat has been going to the bathroom regularly, etc. Just because a cat (or dog) eats grass does not mean that they feel sick or need to vomit. It's really not known why some animals eat grass.

Well when u took the cat to the vet, has the doctor ever X ray the cat to see what is the problem is? Or maybe some kids when they play with ur cat one of them gave the cat some thing and it feel sick for the cat. It is better if u ask the kids what is really happen to the cat and what they gave it to the cat. Just give them some time that they could tell u ok. Good luck and hope ur cat get better.
