| Please go to your vet and have the vet check her health first. Then you will need to contact American Kennel Club for the exact measurements and particulars about the breed to make sure your dog in in standards for breeding. There are so many animals out there needing a home, please make sure you get all information, from the vet specifically, to have healthy puppies and a healthy mom. The vet can provide you with information on what to do when she is pregnant and what to do when birth does not work so well, which is common amongst smaller breeds. If in any way possible you would consider not even to think about breeding until you have all the information that would be great. If you want puppies because you thing they are wonderful, consider working for an animal rescue. They can alwasy use the help. And if you want them to make money, consider other mean to make it. The female goes through a lot of stress when they have them and it would not be fair to do that unless you are fully informed and do it for a good purpose. You will not believe how many times we had to get the moms or puppies after they are born, or how many times we have to come to someones house having puppies because they did not have the money to bring them to the vet and the birth did not go well. Please think about it very well first. |
