Yeah, it probably did. Try getting a bucket or pitcher, and put the water and chlorine reducer in that before putting it in with your shark.

DO NOT BUY THE OVERPRICED MEDICATIONS. Just turn up the heat in the tank to about 87-90 degrees. The heat will speed up the lifetime of the ich.

Your fish sounds like it has a common problem; known as ICK. You can get medicine to treat it with at walmart, or a pet store. Don't wait too long though; your fish can get too sick and die. I don't know about it jumping into the water with the chlorine reducer.

I heard from people that adding Aquarium salt, Stress Coat Water Conditioner and Melafix will do the healing. Aquarium Salt will minimise germs and bacterial in the water. Stress Coat Water Conditioner will remove any harmful chemical in the water, increase the protective film on their body, calm fishes down, heal and moisturise the body wounds abit with its Aloe Vera ingredient. Melafix is well known of it healing power in repairing damaged/rotten fins and body wounds with a strong tea-tree aroma. Mixing altogether will bring great healing process in your tank. If you wish, Pelafix can be added too as it heals the internal wounds like mouth ulcers etc.
