| absolutely nothing!? We THINK she's a girl, but could be wrong - hard to be sure as she's 2 months old, not always here, never ever ever still and can't be handled (yet) as they are feral but come here to eat. She is the first, by miles to try anything, investiage anything, come out after all have hidden from, whatever - and the first to play with us, by at least a couple weeks. Thanks in advance, for your suggestions for a fitting, original name for her, (or . . . him??) as we hope to keep . . . it/her. Great answer, Katie, thanks. - I can tell male from female from behind, when the tail's up, based on how far apart, or not, stuff is, but it's hard to get a long enough look to be sure sometimes. Because they are feral though, (feral means born wild, hun) they are not like kittens born to a regular, domesticated cat. Feral kittens are afraid of hands - that is, if they will come near people at all - which takes a great deal of time to accomplish. They can't be picked up and flipped over at 12 weeks - possibly ever - (in most cases, actually) -- and definitely not at 6 - especially as a feral mom often won't even bring her kittens close to people (if she ever does) until 8 or 9 weeks, when they are fully weaned and now learning sources of solid food. Thanks for your suggestions. So far yours is by far the best answer. ![]() |
