| Our 9 month old kitten is a very adorable & playful guy. He loves to play in his water dish, and is fascinated with the toilet. Everyone has learned to keep the lid down, so that part we can deal with. We just do not know how to save the kitchen floor. I have a place mat under the bowl, but the water will go out several feet. There really is no other place to put it, so that our cats & dog can all reach it. I am afraid of hairspray getting in the bowl if we placed it in the bathroom. We live in a new house, so replacing the floor would be costly at this point. Also I am not always around when he is in the water, so discipline would not be consistant. At first he seemed to pat the water to see where the water line was. Now he just plays or drinks out of his paw. Thanks for your suggestions! I have a large dog also and they choose to share the large very heavy water bowl. My young rascal is playing in it with his paws, not turning it over!! ![]() Because the dog requires so much water, I am afraid to keep it too shallow, but may try to remember to keep an eye on it or maybe even offer two large bowls of shallow water. He is just a wild guy that has plenty to play with: toys, another cat, the dog & myself then the kids get home! I would hate to think what would happen if he was alone all day!! |
