| i'm just curious about wether you would evacuate your home and leave your pets or would you take them with you or refuse to leave without them period. we had a heated discussion about this at work today and i said i would evacuate but i would take my pets even if i couldn't get into a shelter with them. i'd live in my car before i'd leave them behind. |

|  <~~~ I'd have to take them with me ... they're part of my family and I couldn't leave them behind. I could leave any material object behind ... they can always be replaced. My Pugs ... they're part of the family! |

| I would definitely take them! I,too,would rather live on the street or in a car before I would leave them.In an emergency situation,it should be mandatory for shelters to allow people to bring their pets.They could just let all of the pet owners stay in a certain area of the shelter.For some people,their pets are the only "family" they have. |
