If spent tons of money spoiling my kitties with all kinds of toys. Their favorite things to play with? The piece of foil off my boyfriend's pack of cigarettes! They play with them for hours.

I've found most cats also enjoy milk rings. And anything with catnip is usually a winner.

If you buy any of those expensive electronic toys you'll be wasting your money. My cats love the cheap, crinkly, colorful aluminum foil balls that you can get at Petsmart. Milk rings are a keeper. Never buy foam balls. Cats can chew/swallow them easily and it can make them deathly sick. The below site has some quality, not over-priced toys and cat furniture.

My cats favorite toys are:

noisy balls, they have bells in them that make them noisy, and are small enough for them to put in their mouths

ball on a stick and mouse on a stick (works better with a person around) and of course feather on a stick

stuffed mice-all sorts, but the smallest ones always get lost

My friends' cats always like those little tiny mice with the tails on them. Sometimes the tails come off, so they watch them when they play with them to make sure the tail is not swallowed, as the whole thing is bathed in catnip. When not in play, the toys are kept in a plastic container with a snaplock lid.

And as someone mentioned before, noisy bells are also a keeper!

You don't need to spend very much to entertain your cat. My cat (may he rest in peace) used to love to play with my long feather duster. He'd attach himself to it and kick it and fight with it for hours, lol.
