PLEASE READ ALL THIS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME, SORRY IT IS SO LONG, IT'S EASIER IF YOU KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. I volunteer at a rescue. We are all volunteers, I have been there for years now, and I am seen as a very reliable knowledgable animal carer. I found a guinea-pig at our sanctuary the other day who had been attacked by another of ours. One of the 'core' members as they call themselves wanted to have it put to sleep. I took him home and he was recovering slowly. I had to sleep at the sanctuary last nigt. Tonight I had to come home, and I had to leave the g-pig at the sanc, as my mum wouldn't let me bring him home. I found out that the same 'core' member then took the g-pig to the vet and had it euthanised. I have been crying for about an hour now, as I feel I have failed this g-pig. he wasn't in pain, as he was on strong anti-inflammortary and pain killers. Please let me know how you feel about this.

that was wrong on so many levels. if the animal wasnt in pain then that shouldnt have happend. you said you were taking care if it correct.you shouldnt of had to worry about him(i say HIM meaning he/she) getting put down if he was doing well. your mom should have let you take him home untill he was better and could get a new home. dont worry though, he is much happier now than he was at that sanctuary.
