| I am in remission with renal cell carcinoma and get CT scans of chest, abdomen and pelvis every six months. I also get annual mammogram. Would breast tumors show up on a chest CT scan? I don't want to avoid mammograms, but it would be reassuring to me if I knew that every six months I was also getting a picture of the breasts. |

| It is possible, but Mammogram is the standard test to check for Breast Cancer. Talk to your oncologist about where the cancer would most likely metastasize first if it comes back and give him your family history if any of Breast cancer. Although Breast cancer may be most worrysome to you, he may have choosen the CT scans to catch it earlier in a more likely place. |
