My mom just went through a gallbladder surgery. I know it doesn't sound much but after she had her gallbladder removed, she has been constantly tired. She has been on sick leave from her job for about 2 weeks now.. and is requesting for another 3 weeks because she doesn't really know when she'll get better. Doctor said she should be feeling normal within the first week out of the hospital. =/

Here's some background info on my mother..
Weight: 130 lbs
height: 5'3
age: 51
ethnic: asian
health problems: anxiety/major depression - had to take medications, she felt better.
diet: eats the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables/ a day.
- excersises regularly
- eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day
- stresses out occasionally

So, what's wrong with my mom..why is she always tired. Yes, she is able to sleep a good 8 hours a night with the help of some sleeping pills the doc gave her. She also claims to be going through depression/anxiety .. Any insight on this is appreciated.
She did go to her doc.. she claimed to be feeling tired and depressed. The doc gave her sleeping pills because she was diagnosed with "sleeping disorder" she took the medication and now she's even more tired. It's not like we didn't go to the doctor.. we did and did it help? Obviously not.

She needs to go back to the doc and get all of her blood levels checked as well as getting meds for the depression etc. The doc doesn't have a clue that she is having problems if she doesn't at least call and tell him. Why do people not tell there doc when something isn't right after surgery or if a new med isn't working?? I guess I will never figure out why people don't discuss these things with their docs.
