There are so many issues!
You might want to check out the site below. It has a lot of information on alternative medicine and the issues surrounding the different therapies.

people over use them so they become elegail exaple cocain :used to be used in (cocacola) but people over used it so it was no longer legalized!

My theory is that what we call modern medicine ( pharmaceuticals ) are the REAL "Alternative Medicine" ... Herbs, accupuncture, vitamins, minerals and healthy diet are ORIGINAL medicine .... You might check into the NNFA about the main contraversies regarding what most people call alternative medicine

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking but for a critical look at alternative medicine try a site like Quackwatch and for a sympathetic look at alternative medicine try something like the Coalition for Natural Health's web site.
