...health and weight loss? I am a 30 year old guy and recently began an intense workout schedule (both weight lifting and cardio) in order to better tone my body, build muscle, and lose weight. I have been advised by several trainers that I should be taking multivitamins, fat burning pills, and other suppliments. Everybody tries to plug the product they sell and I have no idea which is the best (and healthiest for me). And advise would be greatly appreciated.

as for type of vitamin, make sure it is a ************** grade vitamin, most of the ones you can buy at a grocery store or health store are food grade and dont contain all that they say they do. Price is the best indication that you are getting the real stuff. The vitamins and supplements that I took are ************** grade and helped me lose 95 lbs in 8 months. But I did not buy them at a store either and they were legal.

Centrum!? Are you kidding me??? Find a trusted, non-vested interest who is well informed & ask for specific recomendations. My favorite is Felton Nutrition in Felton, Ca. for their selling the "NOW" brand and having really good prices plus they ship all over the country. Wilma or Mike there can tell you a lot. The fat-burning pills are always a joke, lots of water(2-3 litres daily) will make a noticeable difference in weight loss.Muscle & Fitness magazine used to be one of my favorite resources, and one of the best things I learned there was that you will get cut faster and with less injuries if you work out every other day as opposed to daily.Trade off on your cardio & lifting. Also get plenty of protein. Kudos to you for getting motivated & taking care of yourself. The longer you do it the more it pays off. Pretty cool stuff.

A well balanced diet which is full of vegetables, fruits and whole grain breads, will support the multivatimins you need. If you are cutting on alot of food, then multivitamins is needed. As for losing weight, you can take capsules of green tea, which cleans your body from toxics and speeds your metabolism, and its great with the exercise routine you are doing. If you cann't find the pills simply drink one liter of green tea a day. and also don't forget to drint plenty plenty of water especially between meals.

Take vitamins B, C, E, Omega 3 and any muscle enhancing pill you can find at GNC (they just are the finest natural products seller in the world, not trying to sell you anything, lol)

Hello, my doc says centrum is the best vitamin to take. Really there has been no evidence to prove that multi-vitamins are that great for you. The best of course is getting alot of the natural vitamins from lots of fruits and vegetables. There is never any miracle pill, but good luck.

just go get yourself any brand of multi-vitamins. plus additional vit. B, C, and E.

multi-vitamins provides the necessary amount of vitamins your body needs daily in one tablet. but since you engaged yourself in to physical activities. you will need an additional supply of some important vitamins which you can also find in your multi-vitamin tablet but its just not enough.

B= helps release energy in your body. providing you enough courage to do weight training.lol

C= strengthens your immune system bcoz the more you stress yourself with physical activity, you're more likely to be prone to sickness ,but its for defensive measures only. exercise and you'll feel healthier.

E= aides in body repair...bcoz working out is technically in a sense wearing you out so you need maintenance. but honestly speaking, this wear and tear process of working out is the good one. we become stronger, healthier and fitter the next time.

*include buying whey protein to increase muscle mass. protein is the building block of muscles

so enjoy exercising!
