I realize I need to use the MCE drivers for the 150MCE card, but will it work on a non-MCE W2K computer?
Ok, I know going with the regular 150 card is better (model 1045), but it cost $25 more than the MCE card (which is on sale at Amazon)... Just trying to figure if the non-MCE 150 card is worth the extra money.

You can use the standard drivers I believe, but the MCE bundle does not include the application suite that the non MCE edition includes. Also, the remote control, IR blaster, and receiver are for MCE only and are not generally supported by other applications (unless, of course, you have MCE). I would save some cash and get the WinPVR 150 instead.

It's worth the extra $25 for the software bundle and the remote control which will now be functional.
