this is how i do it. dice up 2 medium heavy Roma tomatoes(heavy means its juicy) cut one slice of a medium onion and dice it up mince up a clove of garlic cut up about 4 or 5 basil leaves mix it all up and drizzle a little bit of olive oil and a shake or two of Italian dressing. salt to taste slice up a hoggie roll either long ways or diagonally in about 1/4 to 1/2 in thick pieces. brush with olive oil and toast. then just add the tomato mixture to the toasted bread and enjoy.

Chop tomatoes, fresh basil, and garlic together. Add pinch of salt and pepper. You can also add chopped fresh mozzarella cheese into it as well. Drizzle with olive oil. TaDa!!!! All done!

I slice my baguette on the bias, brush a very good extra virgin olive oil on top, toast in oven for 5-8 minutes depending on how crusty you like your bread. 400° Then I pull them out of the oven & I use canned diced tomatoes with green peppers & onions in the mix & put a little scoop on top. I put them back in the oven to warm up, about 2-4 minutes. If I'm in the mood I'll put some provolone or smoked mozzarella on top & brown them under the broiler.

Whatever you do, make sure you rub the toasted bread with a garlic clove–it totally makes the dish!
