| The volume control resets itself to zero! You can see the slider icon dropping down to the base level of zero volume. How do I rectify this problem? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software for the soundcard. |

| Ummm... you haven't really given enough information for me, or anyone for that matter, to answer that question. Try these 3 things, then, if they don't work I reccomend you re-post this question with some system specs 1. Try the windows troubleshooter/knowledgebase it's got a pretty extensive list of windows problems 2. Try your soundcard/computer(if its integrated) manufacturers website, they might have rports of this problem. 3. Try Google or Yahoo searching for the details of your problem, odds are someone else has had it if your Laptop is stock. To answer this question we would need details like, what kind of notebook, XP Pro or Home, SP 1 or 2, what kind of soundcard etc... |
