I want to make my mom steak for mother's day. I'll be using a george forman grill. What can I cook or rub on the steak besides pepper, onions? If you have suggestions please say how much of each ingredient or if you know a marinade in a jar (supermarket) that is also good. For sides I'm making sweet potatoes and salad. TY.

Ah, how nice of you! Here's my absolute favorite rub on my steaks and it's a combination of things that I have been mixing together for years to really perfect my "own steak rub"
1 tbsp A1
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Melted Butter (preferrably unsalted)
I tbsp Beef Base, or 2 Beef Bouillon Cubes melted with the butter
1 tbsp McCormick Steak Seasoning, regular or Spicy
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
Cracked Black Peppercorns, to your liking

I put all of this together in a shallow pan, throw the steaks in and let them marinade 1/2 hour on each side. Or, put this marinade in a large Ziplock bag, put your steaks in, seal the bag and massage the marinade into your beef and let it set in the refrigerator for about 1 hr. I do not add salt only because many of the above seasonings already have salt additives, and I don't want too much pulling out all my my steak juices when I'm cooking them. This is my favorite recipe, it's tried and true for 15 years and I really hope you enjoy it, if you try it. Please pass on my Mothers Day Wishes to your Mom!

I like Lawry's marinades: Baja Chipolte, Mesquite and Hickory .. or A-1 Texas Mesquite Marinade (all in bottles in the store) .( btw: don't ever use salt on a steak before you cook it. It will draw the juices out).... Sounds good! ..... Here's a nice, easy pie to make that's YUMMY!

LEMONADE PIE
1 large container Cool Whip
1 (6 oz) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed & undiluted
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened, condensed milk
1 9" graham cracker crust (storebought)
Mix all together well and pile into the crust. You can dollop some extra Cool Whip around the edges, if you have it....Chill at least 4 hours

Get a jar of AuJus base, stir in onion and garlic POWDER, pepper, (no salt, the AuJus carries enough), Italian (oregano, sage, even chili powder, if you want kick).
Rub lightly on both sides of steak.
