Default Do I need to pay back my car loan before I can sell my car?
I have about $3000 left in car payments to make on my car. It is listed in Kelly Blue Book as being worth around $5500-$6000.
Can I sell my car and then pay off the loan from the money I receive or do I have to have the loan payed off first?

You might if the buyer pays the lienholder first. You can;t sell a car with a lien on the title.It is not yet your property.
