I'm going out with my friends tonight for Cinco de Mayo. I want to enjoy myself but still be careful with what I eat. I doubt that there are many HEALTHY Mexican food options, but what are the healthier ones? Let's try to skip on some calories when we can!

Of course I should keep away from anything too cheesy or anything fried. What would you recommend to order? I think that even if I got chciken fajitas, which are grilled, the calories would still be high! \

Any suggestions?!

Tell the waiter that you're looking for a healthier option, I'm sure you're not the only one with these concerns and they might have something already set up.

If they don't have any ideas, ask for baked chicken fajitas.

Make sure to order it without cheese or sour cream. Salsa is healthy and makes a flavorful topping to anything. Ask for some plain tortilla to dip in the salsa instead of the chips they usually bring to the table.

Good for you for staying healthy even during a holiday! Good luck!

I would say the healthier option would be to not eat here. Chilango's Mexican Grill in boise idaho -- Don't waste your time or money, you can get a better mexican dish out of the freezer section at the grocery store. Lowests grade of meat they could find- Maybe road kill or the niegborhood cat? I feel like I need or should go throw up and will probably be suffering from food posioning soon. Stay FAR FAR FAR away as you can, if your to close RUN! - 8915 W Overland Rd Boise, ID 83709

I would say get the grilled chicken fajitas, but ditch the tortillas. Have the chicken with grilled onions and peppers. Could be good! = )
