Are we told by the media and our peers what is beautiful? If we are persuaded by the opinions of others in regards to what true beauty means, then how do we determine what we really think about the beautiful?

Beauty is completely personal. What one thinks is beautiful someone else can think completely opposite. To me something beautiful brings emotion; the Maine coasts, lighthouses, the fall foliage, different works of art, etc.

Beauty is and will always be in the eye of the beholder. Simply because beauty is something different to everyone. That is why life is so great and there is someone out there for everybody.

beauty being in the eye of the beholder is true. If you see something you like, that gives you this feeling inside that you really want to see it or be around it all the time, that is beauty. For everyone.
