My boyfriend is of a different race and my parents don't want me to date/marry someone other than my race. They don't know how I truly feel about my BF (i love him/we're planning on getting married) how do i tell my parents, and how do I make them like him for who he is. I love him and I am going to marry him but I don't want my family to disown me. What should I do?????????

The more I learn the less I think I know, and I can control very little besides how I act and what I do. It is good that I don't get judged for my thoughts, but rather for my actions and reactions and those I have a bit of a decision with.

Love conquers all. If you love him and he loves you, nothing should stop you. Our parents are there only to guide us but not to dominate our future. Have a heart-to-heart talk with your parents, they will understand you because they've been in your situation, when they were in love. If your family disown you then at least you've been true to your feelings. And i dont think your family can disown you forever, just prove to them that you're happy with your decision and nothing can make you happier than a complete family.
