| I'm trying to link my laptop with a buddies computer. We both have windows XP. We tried wireless and through a lan cable. The troubleshooter was of no help. Any ideas on how to go about this, what is the quickest easiest way? |

|  yes buddy, you can do that. Go to My network place and then run Setup a home or small office network,left side of the window. Make sure that you are in the same work group |

| You can do it in Windows XP by setting up a so-called "ad-hoc" wireless network (assuming you both have wireless). There's a few steps involved; see the link below for details. |
