| Isn't philosophy more basic than that which it falls under? What category would you put it under? Should it be it's own category? What's more basic for instance: science or philosophy, literature or philosophy? I find it funny that I get asked "what" I'm asking when it's right there... again I'm talking about real philosophy, not "The philosophy of golf" or w/e kitch stupidness people are doing here. The fact that you can have "A philosophy of..." shows, to a degree, that philosophy as an activity is more basic than what it explains.. that is, it isn't reducible to what it explains-- It's questionable that it should fall under Art-- philosophy has a whole discipline on Aesthetics. It is questionable whether it should fall under humanites-- humanities being a kind of religion of "Man is the measure of all things"-- it's questionable whether Art should be lumped with humanities even.... I mean, ****, there's a whole category for "Yahoo products". What would Aristotle say~ Don't cry at me because you're missing the point, and then say that I'm to blame for your weak-mindedness. HF answering the "smart" questions like "what should I wear..?!" Morons. |
