| ...Questions and opinions appriciated. I need to know if you can picture it. “Freedom” is a statue of the human form. It is bronze piece, which makes it sparkle in the direct sunlight it receives. It is approximately 7 feet tall from head to foot with the right arm reaching upward at an angle to the body approximately 6 more feet. There is a bird similar to a type of gull with its wings spread wide perched in the palm of the upward reaching right hand. The head of the statue is tilted back looking skyward. This piece does not have a face the facial area is flat, with the back of the head rounded. The body itself is a bit out of proportion with the arms reaching out 6 feet in either direction, the left down to the side, and the legs are only about 2 ½ to three feet long each. The hands do not have fingers, they are shaped like mittens. There is a line strait down the center of the body starting at the right shoulder and going down to the ground along the right leg. The left leg is crossed to the right behind the right leg and is also a bit longer than the right. It does not have feet; its legs go directly to the cement block it is mounted upon. There are no gender differences of any kind. It is neither male nor female. The texture is extremely smooth. |

| How does it make you feel while you are looking at it, or what is the feel of the piece? What do you think the sculptor was trying to do with this piece? What is the mood? Where was it to be placed? Who was the audience? Do you know who sculpted it? Good Luck! |
