| Yea I feel like an idiot for not knowing And I have an idea. But what is it that makes punk different from rock? That makes emo different from alternative? If you could tell me....that would be great  !~emily~! |

|  emo music is lik a soft version of punk, Dashboard confessional and taking back sunday are emo bands. and punk bands are like Blink-182 and Greenday |

| there's a book called nothing feels good: punk rock, teenagers & emo. you might want to check that out. emo (and most other genres) usually means different things to different people. i'm going to put some links in the sources section that might help you out. |
