You TOLD your wife you prefer your mom's cooking?

Then you deserve her jealousy and anger. I can't believe you were so insensitive.

Tell your old lady That your mom has more experience and she can get better too. Cooking really is an art and one of my favorite things to do. You could start by buying her a cookbook, or if she has one encourage her to use it. Eat her food and give her honest criticism, but make it positive. Tell her the chicken was dry so not to cook it so long next time. Also if your not experienced with cooking you guys can cook together and make it a couple thing. Me and fiance started this about 2 years ago and now there isn't anything we make that doesn't tast good.

Cooking is a way that women express love and care for her man and family. To reject her cooking or measure it to some lofty standards can be considered an insult and could hurt her feelings. Here are some ways to solve this. If she is cooking something for you specifically and she asks, tell her how you prefer the dish she is preparing. If there is something that you absolutely don't like tell her so she won't make it for you by mistake. While she is preparing your dish tactfully sample it make some suggestions. Also cook for her sometimes. When I say cook for her I mean make something special that requires a little effort to prepare. Cook with each other. Take turns being the head chef. DO NOT COMPARE HER FOOD TO YOUR MOM'S COOKING UNLESS YOU ARE TELLING HER HER COOKING IS BETTER THAN YOUR MOM'S. Complement her cooking and tell her how much you appreciate her cooking for you. Clean up the kitchen after she cooks. Reach out to her and show her you are tired of arguing and you would like to reach a compromise. Support her efforts to please you.
