|  i have an ipod r you sure you pluggled it up right make sure you plugged it up right and if it doesnt recognize you its probably something wrong with the ipod or it doesnt have a specific name........... |

| Your hard drive is probably shot now. If you haven't been disconnecting it using the USB exit program or the eject ipod feature on itunes then it cause it to do this. Unfortunately, only fix is to get a new one. If you have it under warranty, then you can send it in. If not, apple will try to fix it but charge you $200 anyway so might as well get a new one. |
