I'm trying to sort out the best way to tie some applications I'm writing to mobile phones.

If I could SMS Text a URL to someone (or even my own phone) and then open that URL in my phone's mobile browser, that would be awesome.

The page that you would jump to would naturally be formatted to work on the mobile phone.

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Depends on what kind of phone you have. Most phones can only look at pages that are formatted for phones, some phones can look at all webpages.

Many cell phone componys charge people for going on the internet (if they don't purchase a GPRS (internet data) package) so if they are downloading something....it could cost them. But yes, most phones have an option, when you send a url that is "Go to URL" or something like that...the phone has to be able to get online tho. Goodluck
