| can barely operate it? It seems like this computer starts slowing down immediately after booting it up. I might have 5 to 10 minutes of operating it at a speed that is somewhat acceptable. I tried an antivirus program, but it ran for so long that the computer slowed down before it finished. I'm looking for a way to get rid of the problem in the short time window the computer operates. |

|  You may have spyware or malware. There are alot of unwanted roug software out on the internet the best thing to do is just reinstall your OS if computer is really infected. But for day to day removal try ad-aware http://www.lavasoft.com or Windows Spyware removal tool http://www.microsoft.com. These tools are good but when a computer has been infected for awhile these tools may be prevented from working by the spyware. |
