She's exceptionally bright, very helpful and loves children. She's seriously thinking of becoming an elementary teacher.

I told her she should've gotten her degree from the other side of the quad (business, math, etc.) But of course, that's just in jest.

Sounds like she'd like teaching to me, and as far as her degree goes, she could form it into paper airplane and be the first teacher to throw one in the classroom before one of her students does LOL

With a degree in social science she can be a social worker of many types. Such as working for adult & child protection agencies, helping to investigate & prevent the abuse of elderly & children.

She can also work with the developementally disabled, helping them find services, as well as in schools as a counselor, or children's advocate. Her degree doesn't limit her to just social work, though.

You mentioned that she loves children; a social science degree can help her tremendously in this area. It will definately open up many doors for her when it comes to working with children.
