|  I think it depends on which pageant the person is in. Each pageant system has their own judging guidlines and percentages. One system may place 10% of points on the swimsuit competition while another system will place 70%. But don't you know it's not a beauty pageant but a 'scholarship program'....geesh! |

| I think beauty 'n brains both matter equally... Otherwise how can you explain Sushmita being the Miss Universe 'n Aishwarya (the prettier of the two) being the Miss World........ If physical beauty was all they were looking for then why would they have a question answer round as the qualifying round... Think about it.... |

| It has to be looks. Why else would their be a SWIMSUIT portion? Probably poise has to do with it too. |
