I swear that I remember learning about the term "google" in a class. I believe I was told that a google was the name given to a really large number like a billion times a billion.

It is a "googol", a 1 with a hundred zeros after it. Formatted for Yahoo! Answers, that's: 10, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000 Another neat number is a googolplex, which is a 1 with a googol zeros after it. I won't try to write that one.

Sorta. The number is actually spelled "Googol". It's 10 to the 100th power. Consider that a Billion is only 10 to the 9th power.
