Eggs and bacon. Stick with the high protein. If you have sugar, you will have a mini crash in the middle of your exam. I've always found that I stay awake and more alert if I have just a boiled egg for breakfast.

hi, ![]() first off - that's awesome that you're having a college level exam in 12th grade! ![]() usually before one of those big, intensive exams I don't have much of an appetite, but even if you don't you need to force yourself to eat because you will all of a sudden get hungry (like starved) in the middle of the exam, plus it makes you focus much better.. I would suggest eating a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon on top and pecans (mixed in), with a small hand full of almonds, a cup of fruit (a variety if possible), and a glass of orange juice. All of those foods will help stimulate your brain and most likely keep you full for the rest of the day! ![]() Another suggestion: try chewing peppermint gum five minutes for the test and sucking on a peppermint during the test- they allowed it at my school because peppermint helps a person focus and think more straight constantly.. Good luck on your exam!!

I would say some oatmeal would be good and if you don't like that try some plain yogurt with granola and/ or fruit.

Whatever you normally eat. It was shown in recent years that if you normally skip breakfast the large breakfast they used to recommend would actually be detrimental, since your body is not used to dealing with that amount of processing in the morning. If you normally skip, I would so something lighter maybe a few hundred kilocalories, and lower in fat and sugar so you don't crash midway through the exam. I know the pressure! I started college math (starting with algebra) in the 10th grade and it's a lot of work for a high school student! Good luck!
