My dogs just moved to a new environment. Is there a way I can make them pee on
This is a discussion on My dogs just moved to a new environment. Is there a way I can make them pee on within the General Chat forums, part of the Main Category category; demand? My dogs seem to be comfortable only peeing and pooing in my apartment...

|  It's like when you trained them as a puppy, after they eat take them outside say Go potty!, Before and after you put them in their crate do the same thing, before you go to bed do the same thing. If your dog is not crate trained think about doing that. Dogs will not go potty in their own den. |

| You need to start taking them out every hour on the hour. When they go outside give them a treat. When they go inside.............well ya know what to do. also, I tried a crate with my dog and it worked very well. Most dogs will not pee where they sleep and if they are in the crate until time to go out for bathroom or play then they will not go there. However this doesn't work on all dogs. Also monitor food and water intake. Sometimes keeping a chart of when they ate can give you an indication on when they will need to go. Worse comes to worse, buy puppy pads. Place them by your door (yuck I know but it may work) then move the pad to outside where it's okay for pup to go. Somethimes that helps. I feel for you. My Bella was the most stuborn puppy ever to be trained. I wanted to cry before it was all over with. |
