learning games on real computer? Would prefer not to spend more than $200.

I would recommend buying a used computer that has windows 98 or something on it and let them your child play on that. Theres not much that can be done to harm a 98.

Hmm, I don't think that buying another computer would be the best idea. Just use something like edubuntu on your normal PC and let him/her play there.
