| ...has great credit? I have a credit score of 585. But there are 4 entries that are showing "unpaid". One of these entries is in the process of being taken off as it was my bank's error. The other 3 I think might be medical bills. Not sure as they're pretty old, they total to about $500, but since I don't know what they are I'm sending "dispute" letters by certified mail tomorrow. I am in a rush to get a new car (we've spent thousands on repairing used cars with no good warranties) as right now my spouse & I are sharing one car & it's interfering with work. My parents have cosigned for me before (2 yrs now) & I've been perfect w/ payments, never been late, so they've offered to cosign for me on a car (they have 680+ score). Since I need a car now, the errors won't come off my report in time. Can I still get a car loan for 19k w/ my parents as co-signer? Will the lenders demand the "unpaid debts" be cleared up? I will pay the debt if I owe it, but I'm afraid it won't happen fast enough. PLEASE no rude answers. I know 585 is far from great but I'm just starting out. It's hard enough to get rejected on loans, please don't make it worse. Also, my income is 32k, with my husband's (he has no credit) our annual gross is around 65k. I have the money just not the credit....yet. Again, I do plan on paying off any true debt. Also, please no suggestions on rapid rescores (to expensive) or bad credit auto loans. Many thanks! |
