im looking to buy my 1st car at 20 but i have bad/fair credit. i would like to find a place that will approve me. i know everytime someone checks your credit it lowers your score and that is how my credit became so low in the 1st place. so i wanna make sure i will be approved before i lower my score anymore. are these loans real? how do they work?

Go with a large bank that gives out loans online(Capital One, HSBC). You probably will get a loan, but the interest rate will be very high, and the loan amount will be small.

It only affects your credit score if you have excessive credit checks in a six month period. 10 or more is the point most companies start to worry. If your credit is bad and you know it is, put yourself in the banks position! would you lend you £10,000 if not why not? ask to borrow a reasonable amount for what your individual circumstances can afford (and be realistic!)
