| for a few hours at a low price? I need a coffee bar type of environment, where I can hang out with about ten people and not be driven out to turn a table over. We'll spend money, but don't want to drop a fortune on a private room. Thanks |

|  Go to Mocca Espresso Lounge on Church and Reade. They are super friendly, have good espresso drinks, is a cafe/bar/restaurant/dessert joint that actually function superbly as all four. Plus, you won't have trouble finding a table there because of its less than hot locale. Heather is a nice waitress. The red-themed decor and environment is very club/lounge like, but you can still hear each other speak. Sometimes they have a DJ stationed high above you and you can dance a little. Very relaxed environment that is not overly loud. Other info: Soda water comes with espresso shots. The special cheese cake that resembles a creme is delicious. |
