| ...want to go the usual route? I hate my field, but I've come too far to quit. What can I do other than go into academe, work in a think tank, etc.? I don't study American Politics. My major focus is on Eastern Europe and postcommunism, as well as immigration issues. |

| I'm confused...a PhD is so challenging and demanding, I cannot imagine someone going into the program without having a clear reason. I suspect there are several underlying issues going on. I would reccommend you spend some time with a professional "life coach" to look at all the issues. I put a link in the Source box - it allows you to put in your skills and then see what career will best match the skills you already have. That may give you some additional ideas. |
