| I am an america soldier I want 2 volunter for Iraq me and many others like me want to go but were not getting the chance to go I was wondering why were not getting that chance when many soldiers I know want to go 2 go and many soldiers dont want 2 be there and it is causing a huge fuse |

|  I am also a soldier and have just recentl rquested orders to Iraq and am due to deploy in the next couple of months. What I have found is they not only look at you military skills, they also look at your civilian skills. Also if you are flagged for anything (ex.. PT, weight, medical) also can prevent deployment. |

| As you know the military command structure exist for a organized and effective military. It does not usually factor in who wants to engage the enemy. If this was allowed, the US military command would have to take volunteers for each mission and waste time in responding to situations. |
