I offer clowning , face painting, balloons, singing telegrams etc etc. I am looking for suggestions on how to market it on a low/no budget.

You might want to check out cable advertising. Most markets have a local advertising channel that runs car lots and realestate. You might be able to get into one of these channels for cheap. Just call your local cable operator.

You need to offer free gigs to get your name out there.. Market that you will provide free face painting at different venues or an event like sporting or birthday parties..at local party stores set up outside..the proprietor (if he or she has keen business sense) will see that more people will come into his store. Give the people that accept your free services the spill about your business and then offer them a discount package or something of the like....hope this helps..

If you have a website, start by putting your website address in your Yahoo Answers profile. You can do the same in other major internet portals. Another idea is to put your ads on the ballons and give them to the kids by being outside or inside of major shopping malls near you. Make sure you get permission from the mall management.
