I broke, basicly. I had a laptop but it literally went up in smoke. i need a computer so bad, its really hard oding homework and using other peoples computer for world of warcraft. (sigh......) does any one know wher i can get something for gaming and school work, not dell please. Something i would go pick up and order offline. thank

well a lot of people might hate me for this but do not... i repeat do not get an apple....everyone says that they are so good and they have not gotten 1 virus or whatever but that is because they suck nuts and no one want to hack them.... i would get an alien, ive had a area 51 forever and it was worth the $$$... dont go cheap on a computer like an apple get the good one that will last you a long time and you can put upgrades in it as technology advances through out the years. Also i would not get a laptop if your a hard core gamer because they blow at gaming unless you put like 5000 bucks down on a base model....like the Alien Assassin, but still if you want a good gaming computer then go with the Alien or Voodoo, all the crap that comes in a gaming computer can be used for school, the RAM, memory, all the good stuff. Some people might also say that a computer is the worst investment possible.. i completely agree with them but whats good with desktops is that you can upgrade so you dont have to get a new one. Macs are stylin and all but i think their hardware blows... my example, Mac Air

Just go to an electronics store like Best Buy or Curcuit City and ask them if there are any good deals on computers. There's most likely one that they'll try to sell you.
