|  It's called a Holter monitor and it is a continuous tape recording of your EKG for 24-48 hours. This will give the doctor a much better idea of what may or may not be wrong with your heart verses a two minute EKG. It's simple, you just wear it around your neck or waist and go about your regular activities. Good luck to you! |

| You will wear a holter monitor for the entire 48 hours. they are looking for a cardiac event and it does not occur all the time so they need to see the ekg of this. You will have a button to push called an event marker when your heart does what it is not supposed to do and that will let the cardiologist go directly to the area of the event and see what is going on. I have seen the older ones that used cassette tapes, maybe they are digital now, I do not know. |
