| Share has wonderful seasonal food. It's a tiny little dining room (literally 4-5 tables) which makes it quiet and intimate. The staff is attentive and grateful. The food can be a bit unusual if that's not your bag. But it's always full of flavor and unique. It's way east on 9th St. near 1st or 2nd Avenue. If you want to go even fancier check out the River Cafe. It's right under the Brooklyn Bridge. It has a fabulous view of the bridge and the city, they have fresh flowers from a greenhouse on the tables, and a piano player on weekend evenings. And the food is delicious. It's fun to take the water taxi over there (when it's not freezing out). If you two love French food you could try Triomphe near midtown. They treat you well and the food is very superb and very French. And it won't break the bank quite as badly as going to Jean Georges, Alain Ducasse, etc. Anyhow there's a few ideas. I don't want to go on and on and bore you. But there's pretty much something fabulous in every genre. |

| you may want to consider eating at the first place you ever ate at together, just for the sake of remembering how it all started. |
