Not necessarily, in fact sore breasts are not a good predictor of pregnancy.

The easiest way is to test for ß-hCG in your urine. It shows up fairly soon after pregnancy, usually about a week to 9 days after ovulation. Any of the over the counter test kits test for this and they can be had for a few dollars.

it is tough to wait for a missing period, huh? take a test. even if it is a cheap one. it will rest your nerves with a yes or no. if its yes, hey- now you know. if its no- wait a few days for a period or another test. but if you are 4 days late, go ahead and take it chic.

Sore breasts could be from several sources: Related to your cycle, pregnancy and even too much sodium and/or cafeine.

4 DPO is too soon to find out - even with the most sensitive over the counter pregnancy tests. Any pregnancy test (over the counter or a blood test from your doctor) tests for the presence of hCG; and, your body does not start creating hCG until the fertilized egg has implanted into the uterus. The earliest implantation happens is around 5 days after you have ovulated (5 DPO); however, that would be an extreme exception. Most implantations occur around 6-10 DPO (some later than that). Once your body begins making hCG it still takes another 2-3 days before enough has been made to show up on a Home Pregnancy Test. A blood test may show up slightly sooner; but, only by a day or so - as many HPTs (Home pregnancy tests) are highly sensitive now.

FYI: It's often possible to find/purchase HPTs at Dollar Tree Stores for just $1. They have been shown to be one of the most sensitive tests around and are "just a dollar" - so, if you feel you can not wait until you have missed your period, you might consider picking up a couple from the Dollar Tree.
