| Hi, my parents took a car loan for me, so I could get a better interest rate. The car and the car loan is in their name, but I'm paying the loan. I have the canceled checks made out to them with the make of the car in the "for" line. They are going to be getting divorced, so I want to avoid a problem with either of them. Can they sign anything stating that even though the car and the loan is in their names, I'm making the payments on time, and when I finish paying the loan, it will be my property? This way, my car is not in jeopardy while they fight out in the divorce? Thanks, |
