| abuse such power? Its not a perfect world, and politicans aren't generally the nices guys in the world. They're mostly ex-lawyers and rich folks who have no understand of the man on the street. So do you trust politicans to define what a terrorist is? The patriot act gives the government the right to imprison you with delayed rights, it lets the government dig out information on you without having to tell you, and it lets your property be searched or siezed without a warrent. Is fear enough a reason to give up civil liberties? Safety traded for freedom? |
